During the match corresponding to the eleventh day of the local tournament “Grita México A21” that Cruz Azul and León played on Wednesday, fans of the local team shouted “ehhhhh fucking” on several occasions when the goalkeeper of the rival club cleared the ball.

“The Disciplinary Commission informs that, once the study and analysis of the evidence provided and collected in the investigation procedure has been carried out, this authority decides to sanction the Cruz Azul club with a stadium veto for a match for the appearance of the discriminatory cry”, reported on Friday the Mexican Football Federation (FMF).

The club will pay the penalty in the next game it plays at home, which could be in the postseason phase.

Due to the controversial shout, FIFA has sanctioned the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) on several occasions. Just on Monday he imposed a two-party veto without an audience and a financial penalty of 100,000 Swiss francs.

“The Cruz Azul club is warned about its future conduct, since in the event that these types of actions are committed again, the disciplinary commission may impose more severe sanctions against them,” added the FMF.
