‘Papu’ Gómez is called to call the Argentine national team for the matches against Uruguay and Brazil

Added at the last minute. The Argentine team summoned Alejandro Gómez this Sunday and, with this, the roster was completed for the matches that the ‘Albiceleste’ will have against Uruguay and Brazil for the South American Qualifiers towards Qatar 2022.

The Sevilla de LaLiga Santander midfielder recovered from a discomfort in the psoas area that he had been dragging for a few weeks and had made it impossible for him to be on a playing field.

The recovery of ‘Papu’ comes just in time, since those led by Lionel Scaloni will visit the Uruguay national team in Montevideo on November 12, and four days later they will receive ‘Canarinha’ in San Juan.

With the former Atalanta player, the Argentine national team will have 35 players to face the thirteenth and fourteenth games towards the 2022 World Cup.

The large number of footballers has to do with the precaution they take regarding injuries and possible cases of coronavirus infections. During this time of competition, the national teams cannot give up any type of advantage and in the ‘Albiceleste’ store they have that very clear.
