Gerrard is considered one of the best players in Premier League history. He has scored 186 goals in 710 games for the Reds, but it will be his first experience coaching at the highest level of English football.

A hell of a first challenge in the Premier League

“The Aston Villa board is delighted to announce the appointment of Steven as coach,” announced the club, currently 16th in the English Championship having scored just ten points in eleven games.
