Palms for the Peruvians: Alexia Sotomayor and Melany Ullilen got medals in swimming

The Sudamericano Juvenil de Deportes Acuáticas continues to leave pleasant news for Peruvian sports. This Thursday, the swimmers Alexia Sotomayor and Melany Ullilen had outstanding performances and got medals in their respective tests.

Sotomayor, from the Sportsman Support Program (PAD) of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD), got his third medal at the event that has been taking place a few days ago at Videna de San Luis.

The athlete finished in second place and took the silver medal in the 50-meter freestyle event, with a time of 26.86. Brazilian Lopes Helena was the winner, while also Brazilian Bezerra Beatriz completed the podium.

Let’s remember that Sotomayor won the gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke and also the gold medal in the 200-meter backstroke.

The swimmer Melanie Ullilen also celebrated, who won the bronze medal after her participation in the 200-meter butterfly event.

Melany Ullilen took the bronze medal in the 200 meter butterfly.
