The final of the First National between Tigre and Barracas Central was in the background. Lucas González, a player from the Barraqueña institution, died after being shot in the head by a policeman dressed in civilian clothes. The club published a message on its social networks decreeing three days of mourning for the sensitive loss.

It all happened on Wednesday morning in the Barracas neighborhood, when a group of policemen (dressed in civilian clothes) intervened by shooting a car in which four young people were traveling. One of those bullets hit the head of 17-year-old González, who was taken to a hospital to fight for his life.

According to the newspaper Olé, police sources assured that it was a persecution after the alert thrown by the 4C Neighborhood Police about a group of young people aboard a blue Volkswagen Suran car who, apparently, refused to be identified and escaped.

According to this version, they chased them and ended up shooting them. Lucas had the worst parts, two were also arrested and one escaped but then surrendered.

However, the family has denied this version, since they indicated the following: “Lucas left Barracas training with friends from the neighborhood, Florencio Varela, who were going to try out because the club was looking for players for their category. When they left, they stopped to buy a juice at a kiosk, and on the way back to their homes a car apparently stopped with four policemen (who did not know they were policemen because they were in civilian clothes). They thought they were going to assault them, that’s why they accelerated and there they shot my son “, said the mother on Radio with you.

Also, the mother said the following: “He didn’t go stealing, he went to train. These people who shot him are not trained to be armed. They shot him twice in the head, they shot him to kill ”.

The investigation was in charge of Judge Alejandro Cilleruelo, who has already started the expert and investigation processes to clarify the case.

Through its official Twitter account, Barracas Central expressed the following: “With infinite sadness today we say goodbye to Lucas. The club adheres to pain and helplessness in the face of what happened. We ask that the family respect them and that they join us in hugging them in this irreparable moment. The Club arranged three days of mourning without social and sports activities. Our condolences to Lucas’s family, friends, colleagues and we ask for JUSTICE ”.
