Peruvian national team: Who would you play against if you go to the playoffs for Qatar 2022?

This Friday, November 26, the FIFA carried out the draw for the playoffs for the last two places at the Mundial Qatar 2022 with the confederations of Conmebol, Concacaf, AFC (Asia) and OFC (Oceania). Along these lines, the countries of South America already know their possible rival for that single-party confrontation.

In Conmebol’s Qatar 2022 Qualifiers, fifth place belongs to the Peruvian team, so it would play the play-off again on its way to the World Cup.

According to the draw, it was stipulated that the South American team will face a selection from AFC (Asia) which, according to the table of positions today, could be Australia or the United Arab Emirates. Both countries, finishing third in their respective groups, would play each other to determine who goes to the play-offs.

The ‘Bicolor’, if they remain in the fifth box at the end of the 18 qualifying dates, would play the playoffs for the second consecutive time, given that in 2018 they faced New Zealand in round-trip matches for a place for Russia.

It is worth mentioning that the playoff matches will be played on June 13 and 14, 2022, most likely in Qatar.
