Peruvian women’s team tied with Paraguay in the Defensores del Chaco

The Peruvian women’s team had a new international test this Saturday. The rival was the team from Paraguay, in a friendly game played at the Defensores del Chaco Stadium, and the result was a draw to one.

The marker was already moved in the complement. At minute 5, Jessica Martínez overflowed on the right and took a cross into the small area. Lice Chamorro appeared there, who with great impetus took advantage of the Peruvian defenders and signed the 1-0 for the Guarani.

The Peruvian reaction came shortly after. At 60, Nahomi Martínez took advantage of a rebound, after a shot from Xioczana Canales that ended up hitting the crossbar. The Universitario midfielder, with the entire goal at her disposal, did not fail.

The next match of the ‘Blanquirroja’ will be on Tuesday, November 30, having again the ‘Albirroja’ as a rival, although this time the location will be changed. The venue will be the Gunther Vogel Stadium of Sportivo San Lorenzo. Said commitment will be televised by FPF Play starting at 2:00 pm (Peruvian time).

The last presentation of the national team had been in September against Ecuador in Quito. On that visit to the northern country they recorded a draw and a defeat, leaving a pleasant impression on a team with much more experience.

It is planned that these matches will serve to accumulate filming with a view to the Copa América 2022, a tournament that will grant three direct places and two play-offs for the Australia-New Zealand 2023 World Cup.
