Competitor for Barcelona: Manchester United will go in search of Timo Werner

Despite only having flashes in the ‘Blues’, it draws the attention of more than one team. Timo Werner is a Chelsea player, but he has not had the expected results since his arrival in the Premier League, however, he has been sounding like a possible signing of FC Barcelona; and, now, the Catalan team is joined by a competitor, Manchester United.

With the arrival of Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford, Werner would open an opportunity with the ‘Red Devils’. The Manchester United interim coach, as revealed by ‘Bild’, is interested in modifying the attack, which although he considers it already populated, needs a qualitative leap to go in search of the titles.

The German coach will be the manager of Manchester United until June, but will remain linked to the institution as a counselor for two more seasons, so he will have an important opinion when looking for new players for the squad.

Although the performance of Timo Werner was not what Chelsea expected, which even added Romelu Lukaku who ended up overshadowing the German footballer’s chances, having Rangnick a link with the forward due to his time at RB Leipzig, would increase the possibilities.

It should be noted that Manchester United has one of the best forward squads in the world with Cristiano Ronaldo, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford. However, given the arrival of Werner, more than one player would have to leave the team that Rangnick now directs after the dismissal of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
