British diver Tom Daley is taking his hobby to the next level. The 27-year-old Olympic gold medalist launched his hand-knit clothing line through the website Made With Love By Tom Daley, after he and his knitting needles went viral at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics last August.

“Time to fall in love with knitting,” Daley wrote in a post Thursday, celebrating the launch. “I am so happy to share Made With Love with all of you!”

The athlete modeled some knitwear in a campaign for the collection, while reflecting on his love for tailoring in a video. “As many of you already know, I am completely obsessed with knitting,” Daley said in the video.

Encourage people to knit

“From calming minds to a new hobby, there is something in knitting for everyone,” she continued. “And I have created these kits to help encourage people to start knitting, pick up their needles, learn the basics, have fun and fall in love with it, All at the same time. Whether I’m making things for yourself or gifts for other people, just come and weave love with me. ”

Kits range from £ 30 to £ 125 (around $ 40 to $ 166), and the collection features threads, needles and patterns for a variety of projects, including hats, scarves, cardigans, blankets, Christmas stockings and even a stuffed flamingo named Elvis.

After winning the gold medal on the men’s 10-meter platform in Tokyo this year, Daley left fans intrigued when they saw him weaving in the stands at another event, where he was supporting his teammates.

“The only thing that has kept me sane throughout this process is my love for weaving and crochet and everything related to sewing, “he said in a video posted on the official Twitter page of the Tokyo Olympics.
