The supporters refuse to make the trip for the Ligue 1 match against AS Saint-Etienne

The visitors’ parking lot at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium should be empty on December 22, on the occasion of the next Ligue 1 day between AS Saint-Etienne and FC Nantes. Indeed, eleven groups of FCN supporters have decided not to go to the Greens, because of the conditions imposed by the Loire prefecture. “We have now been fighting for eight years to obtain decent conditions so that all Nantes supporters can travel to Saint-Etienne, in vain,” said these groups in a statement.

Ahead of this meeting between the FCN and the Greens, the Loire prefecture decided to limit the attendance of supporters to 200 people. A regulation little appreciated by the latter. The match being played on a Wednesday evening, these supporters consider that this gauge is “useless”, the programming of this match was going, in any case, “to restrict the Nantes supporters to a number lower than 300”. “It imposes, on the other hand, the compulsory escort of Nantes supporters and therefore, consequently, the use of public transport”.

These supporters already using public transport, they believe that the rules wanted by the prefecture are not useful. A measure which also excludes individual supporters and which has the gift of annoying Nantes fans, unhappy with this lack of dialogue with the authorities. They therefore decide to boycott this meeting and will not go to the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium on December 22.
