Alianza Lima formalized the renewal of Carlos Montoya for the 2022 season

Alianza Lima will seek the two-time championship in League 1 2022 and also hopes to fulfill a good participation in the Copa Libertadores. For that reason, the Blue and White club has renewed a player who was very important in defense: Carlos Montoya.

The 19-year-old defender started as a starter in the first two games of the season, however, Carlos Bustos preferred Yordy Vílchez and Jefferson Portal. However, the footballer returned in the final stretch of the championship to help in the bag of minutes.

Joao Montoya played a total of 9 games in 2021 (2 in Phase 1 and 7 in Phase 2). As it is recalled, the player made his debut with the blue and white jersey in February 2020 under the command of Pablo Bengoechea in the defeat (2-0) against Ayacucho FC.

The La Victoria team, so far, has announced through their social networks the incorporations of Christian Ramos and Pablo Lavandeira for the 2022 season.

In addition, a few days ago, the blue and white club announced that Ángelo Campos, Wilmer Aguirre, Josepmir Ballón and Mauricio Matzuda renewed their contracts thanks to the good performance they showed during the season.
