Thankful for the new opportunity. Pablo Lavandeira is a new Alianza Lima player for the 2022 season. The Uruguayan footballer arrives to look for a place in Carlos Bustos’ scheme and, although it will be complicated, he was happy to be part of the blue and white team to play League 1 and the Cup Liberators.

Happy for this new and great opportunity that life gives me. I assume today with my greatest professionalism and dedication one of the greatest challenges of my career”Begins the message that the Uruguayan midfielder shared through his Instagram account, along with the image of him wearing the blue and white jersey.

Followed, he thanked the Victorian club for their confidence to sign him, in the defense of the title and to play in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores: “Thank you Alianza Lima for allowing me to be part of the last Peruvian champion. We go together in search of achieving the #arribaalianza objectives”.

The Uruguayan midfielder was in the orbit of Sport Boys and Cienciano; however, the Victorians’ proposal ended up prevailing. With this, Alliance Lima presents his second signing for next season, the first being Christian Ramos.

The records of Pablo Lavandeira in Peru

The Uruguayan midfielder arrived in Peru at the beginning of 2015 to sign for UTC, where he played 39 matches. In turn, he scored seven goals and gave six assists. This earned him his transfer to Deportivo Municipal, where he was twice. The first was for the 2016 season: he played 46 games and the second time was from August 2017 to mid-2018.

In a year and a half with the University of Sports, the ‘charrúa’ added 34 games, less than expected, as he was limited by a ligament injury. After that, he gained prominence in the team, but at the end of that 2019 he is loaned to play the Chilean league with Audax Italiano. He was here all of 2020, so that in 2021 he returns to Peru, this time, to sign for Ayacucho FC.
