Guillermo Barros Schelotto enters quarantine after his brother’s coronavirus positive

Guillermo Barros Schelotto, coach of the Paraguayan team, went into quarantine, due to the positive for coronavirus of his brother, Gustavo, who is also his assistant in the Guaraní team. Both were elected a few months ago.

In a brief communication to the press, the governing body of Paraguayan soccer reported that the Argentine coach, who is in Buenos Aires, tested negative after remaining in home quarantine.

Regarding the positive for covid-19 of his brother and also a member of the technical staff of the Paraguayan team, Gustavo Barros Schelotto, the APF indicated that it has “Good health and resting at home”, also in the Argentine capital.

The Paraguayan team faces its preparation for the last matches of the South American qualifying rounds of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, which will be played between January and March.

Precisely, this Tuesday it was reported from Uruguay, Albirroja’s next rival, that its new coach, Diego Alonso, tested positive for covid-19, so what was going to be his presentation this Thursday in Montevideo was postponed.

Paraguay receives Celeste in La Nueva Olla on January 27, in what represents a change of scenery when leaving its usual headquarters, the Defensores del Chaco stadium, and later travels to Brazil to play against Canarinha on February 1.
