Peruvian national team: two players tested positive for COVID-19 in La Videna, but they will not be called off

Training began at Videna de San Luis with Ricardo Gareca, but with worrying news. As he was able to confirm Trade through sources of the peruvian team, two players called by the Argentine coach to Blanquirroja tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), which is why they did not participate in this Tuesday’s session.

Despite this, they will not be called off, since it is expected that in the next few days they will come out with a negative test and can return to the work prior to the international friendlies that they will play before the key duel with Colombia for the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers.

It should be noted that this Tuesday the local players were joined by guests from foreign clubs with a view to the matches against Panama and Jamaica on January 16 and 20, respectively, in Lima. On the other hand, neither Paolo Guerrero nor Jefferson Farfán were present at the training sessions.
