FIFA Announced Finalist Coaches for The Best

FIFA announced the finalists for the award ‘The Best’ in the category best technical director of the year 2021. The three finalists are: Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Roberto Mancini (Italy selection) and Thomas Tuchel (Chelsea).

Pep Guardiola, was nominated for the aforementioned award, because he led Manchester City to win the Premier League, also, he managed that the ‘Citizens’ played their first Champions League final in their history.

On the other hand, Roberto Mancini, coach of the Italian team, managed to win the European Championship with his team after 53 long years.

Finally, Thomas Tuchel, in his first season at Chelsea, the German coach managed to win the Champions League with Chelsea after 8 seasons.

FIFA also released the names of the three finalists for The Best Award for best women’s soccer coach: Lluís Cortés, Emma Hayes and Sarina Wiegman.

The Best awards ceremony will take place next Monday, January 17, in Zurich, Switzerland.
