The great absentee of WWE Day 1, the wrestling industry’s first event of the year, was Roman Reigns, current SmackDown Universal Champion, for having tested positive for COVID-19. The Samoan was going to defend his title against Brock Lesnar, but the fight was canceled and the ‘Beast’ was included in the fight for the RAW belt, which he obtained and took from Big E.

However, it appears that the rivalry between the reigning champions will continue, as Vince McMahon’s company announced that Roman Reigns He overcame the coronavirus, received the medical discharge and will be present in the new edition of SmackDown this Friday, January 7.

In this program he will meet again with Brock Lesnar (and possibly Paul Heyman), who last Monday said publicly that he would go to the blue mark to face the ‘Tribal Chief’.

It is worth mentioning that the ‘Beast’ has already confirmed his fight against Bobby Lashley for the WWE title at Royal Rumble 2022.

WWE Royal Rumble 2022

The first step to WrestleMania will take place on January 29 at The Dome at America’s Center in Saint Louis, Missouri. The event will feature the usual royal battles and others for company titles.

So far only the real battles of men and women have been confirmed, the match between Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley and the mixed tag team fight between Edge and Beth Phoenix vs. The Miz and Maryse.
