France Télévisions will be the official broadcaster of the Paralympic Games, i.e. 300 hours of live

“We share the same desire to showcase Paralympic athletes (…), to introduce the French public to their unique performances and journeys, and to seize this historic opportunity to permanently change society’s view of disability. This is how the president of Paris 2024, Tony Estanguet, welcomed this Tuesday, in a press release published by France Télévisions, the fact that the public service will be the official broadcaster of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

France Télévisions will thus have exclusive French audiovisual and digital rights for all of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. “With the Olympic Games, we will thus make accessible the entirety of the biggest sporting event of the coming years to all French people”, rejoiced in the same press release Delphine Ernotte, president of the public audiovisual group.

“An exceptional exhibition 24 hours a day”

To be chosen, France Télévisions explains that it highlighted “the recording and broadcasting of all sports (a first in the history of the Paralympic Games), free access to 300 hours of live broadcast and exceptional exposure 24 hours a day thanks to the complementarity of the Group’s two premium channels, France 2 and France 3.”

It is also committed to promoting the performances and careers of Paralympic athletes over the next two and a half years, in particular through portraits, magazines and other programs devoted to them.
