Bayern Munich, through its official social networks, announced the signing of Matteo Perez Vinlöf, a Peruvian father, for the next three seasons. On its website, the Bavarian club highlighted that the young Swede’s involvement will be for “a long time” and that in principle he will start work on the U19 team.

FC Bayern Munich have signed Swedish youth international Matteo Pérez Vinlöf. The 16-year-old left back is moving to Munich from the youth department of first division club Hammarby IF and has signed a long-term contract. Last year, Vinlöf had already completed a week of trial training at the record champions’ youth academy”, reported the Bavarian team on its website.

Holger Seitz, Sporting Director of FC Bayern Campus, stated the following: “With Matteo we have signed a very interesting and exciting player for our youth teams. He convinced us with his appearances in test training, among other things, and will reinforce our youth teams in the left-back position. We are pleased to welcome another up-and-coming talent to campus.”

As can be seen, the Swedish winger will join the Bayern Munich youth teams with the intention of being able to make the big leap to the first team in the coming seasons. It must be emphasized that for the moment he will not be part of the first team training sessions, unless Julian Nagelsmann says otherwise.

Finally, the Bavarian club reported that Perez Vinlöf will live in the Bayern Munich Campus to better adapt to the club’s culture. They also reported that work has already started on the German team.
