Binational lawyer: “There is already a decision from the TAS, we are waiting for the position of the FPF”

Binational will play the 2022 season of League 1, after the dissemination of the ruling issued by the Sports Arbitration Court (TAS) this Thursday. The Peruvian club has already been notified by the international justice entity. However, the southerners await the official pronouncement by the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) and the organization of League 1.

A few hours after the decision was known, César Giraldo, the lawyer who represented the Juliaca team at the TAS, ruled on this matter. “Now that there is the decision of the TAS, we are waiting for the position of the FPF”, stated in an interview with the RPP program Fútbol Como Cancha.

Along the same lines, the lawyer believed that, with the modification that the championship will undergo (there is already a confirmed fixture), the ‘Powerful of the South’ should be included without inconvenience. “I would believe that there should be no problem and the tournament should be organized again so that the decision made is fulfilled”, he added.

“We have to see how the FPF solves the issue of the position table. No one from FPF or League 1 has communicated with us yet, we only have notification from the TAS ”, Giraldo said regarding the changes that the accumulated must undergo with the resolution of the court of sports justice.

On the other hand, the lawyer highlighted the willingness of those involved for the case to be resolved before the start of the domestic contest. “All the parties did their part so that there was a quick resolution of the conflict. The important thing was that the case was decided as quickly as it was, that is, before the tournament started, unlike last year”.

At another time, Giraldo also took as reference the case of Alianza Lima in 2021. “Both the decisions of Alianza Lima at the time and this one of Binacional will bring a better show in the long run because the regulations will be more enforced. It is not a question of Peru, in general in Latin America it has been improving”, Hill.

The official statement of Binational

“The TAS agreed with our club that the FPF’s decision had been incorrect and in this way, as the League 1 2021 standings were directly affected by this event, the Binational Sports Club will continue in the first Peruvian soccer division, indicated the ‘Powerful of the South’.

Immediately, the 2019 Peruvian champion has addressed those in charge of defending his interests in the international justice entity. Likewise, Binacional showed gratitude for what they were pending in the case. “We thank all the people and fans who showed us their support during this journey”, close the note.
