The Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde declared this Monday, upon arriving in Uruguay to join the concentration of the soccer team of his country, that “there is no tomorrow” for ‘La Celeste’, so its members must now “talk on the pitch”.

Now it’s win or win. We come more motivated than ever, we come with a lot of desire. There is no longer a tomorrow, now we have to talk on the pitch, show if we want to go to the World Cup and show that we are a team that is going to look for a goal”, he commented to the press when leaving the terminal of the Carrasco International Airport.

Valverde is part of the bulk of internationals that must join the Uruguayan concentration this Monday for the double date of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers, in which ‘La Celeste’ will play as a visitor against Paraguay on January 27 and will receive Venezuela on January 1 February.

The delicate situation of Uruguay, which is seventh, out of the places of direct classification or repechage for the Qatar event, makes the internationals aware of the importance of the next duel against the Albirroja, also in need of points, since it is penultimate of the table.

We have to go to win, no matter what the stadium is, the players who play… We have to go to win, to give our best and we know that if we get a victory it’s an important step”, affirmed ‘Pajarito’.

Valverde stressed that the new Uruguayan coach, former soccer player Diego Alonso, “he is starving” With views to “achieve the goal” of the qualification for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, what he considered “a plus to fight these remaining matches”.
