The coach of Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Mauricio Pochettino, does not know when he will be able to train again, let alone play, the Spanish Sergio Ramos, who is injured again due to a muscle problem.

“ToWe know that whenever there is an injury, afterwards (what counts) is the daily evolution. So we cannot know what the scope will be or how long it will be to train again. Before playing, train, which is the most important thing”, declared Pochettino when asked if Ramos will be available for the crucial match against Real Madrid for the Champions League.

Just before these explanations during the press conference prior to the French Cup match that PSG plays this Monday against Nice, the club from the French capital confirmed in a message on their Twitter account the injury of the 35-year-old Spanish defender .

Sergio Ramos -specified the club- must observe a period of rest due to a low-grade muscle injury in the right calf that occurred on Thursday in training, which will be re-evaluated in the middle of the week”.

Ramos had started last Sunday against Reims, where he scored for the first time since joining PSG at the start of the season. He had been injured since signing and was unable to make his debut for his new team until November 28 against Saint Etienne.

Pochettino did not clarify if another of the Spaniards from the French club, Juan Bernat, will be part of the list of players selected for the Champions League.

He limited himself to pointing out that they will have to make a decision next week and that one of the players will have to be excluded because they have 18 and only 17 can be registered.

Asked if Neymar, who has been in dry dock in recent weeks due to another injury, will be able to play the crucial Champions League match against Madrid on February 15, he replied that he does not know.
