What to expect from MWC 2022 in Barcelona, ​​the return to full capacity of the largest telephony fair

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) returns to Barcelona as every year for its 2022 edition. This technology fair, which will be held between February 28 and March 3, will be the showcase for brands related to the mobile communication sector and its new products and solutions .

After a 2020 edition was canceled due to the health situation caused by Covid-19 and the 2021 event was postponed to summer (June 28 to July 1), the most important telephone fair in the world returns to its calendar usual this year and picking up pace, with more than 1,500 exhibitors and visitors from 183 countries.

Despite the fact that leading manufacturers such as Sony and Lenovo have announced that they are canceling their face-to-face participation at the fair, this edition of MWC 2022 will be held in a mostly face-to-face format, at its location at the Fira de Barcelona venue.

The MWC 2022 will feature the participation of the world’s most prominent technology brands and companies, to which are added companies such as Samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi, Huawei, realme, AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta, HMD (Nokia), Qualcomm, Intel, MediaTek, and TCL, among others.

The novelties of the fair will begin the day before the doors open, on Sunday, February 27, when some brands have set up their product presentations, such as HMD (Nokia), TCL and Samsung.

On Monday the 28th, the doors of the fair open, and it is the day that most of the brands have taken advantage of to carry out their presentation events. This is the case of realme, Honor, Xiaomi and its POCO brand, Qualcomm and Oppo.

The rest of the days, between Tuesday 1 and Thursday 3, the attending companies will take advantage of their presence at MWC 2022 to also participate in sector meetings such as talks and ‘keynotes’, both those related to networks and the technology sector in general. In-person attendees will also have the opportunity to find out what’s new from the brands at their physical stands.
