Apple presented the third generation of iPhone SE, the most compact and economical model of the company’s cell phones. The revelation of the new iteration of this team was made during the Apple Event today, Tuesday, March 8, the first presentation of the year for those from Cupertino.

In addition to having slight changes in its design compared to its previous versions, the most outstanding thing about the device is its new specifications, which make it an interesting option in terms of performance at the reduced price at which it will be sold.

To begin with, the new iPhone SE will maintain the 4.7-inch screen for which it is already known, and will continue with the retina with high-definition resolution to which the equipment in this range of Apple has already accustomed us. Another detail is that this model is more resistant than its predecessors since it has IP67 certification against water and dust.

However, what really stands out is its interior. The third generation of iPhone SE has the A15 Bionic processor, the same one that the iPhone 13 has as its core. In addition, the chip is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 64, 128 or 256 GB of internal storage depending on the chosen variant.

Another aspect to highlight is its support for 5G connectivity thanks to its processor, a function that it shares with the company’s current flagships iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro. The new iPhone SE will also have iOS 15.4 installed, the most recent version of the system operating system for Apple mobile phones that includes concentration modes and new functions for its Maps application.

iPhone SE 3 has a 12 MP camera with Deep Fusion technology and Smart HDR 4. Certainly not as spectacular as its high-end counterparts, but understandable considering its price range.

However, there are some that are absent, such as support for Face ID, the company’s facial recognition system, and opt for the basic Touch ID that we already see on devices like the iPad mini or the iPad Air.

The new iPhone SE will be launched on March 18 and reservations can start from the 11th. The price starts from $429 for the version with 64 GB of internal storage.
