An Apple 1 signed by Steve Wozniak is auctioned for more than 300 thousand dollars

Jimmy Grewall, a Dubai businessman responsible for The AAPL Collection, was in charge of the auction of the device. Due to updates in the collection, some of the components are sold to other collectors.

The Apple 1 was professionally restored to maintain working order, according to the eBay auction page. The device still retains all of its original parts, except for its four integrated circuits that were manufactured a year later, in 1977.

The auction attracted the attention of more than 130,000 people and was viewed by 6,500 eBay users. However, only 28 bidders participated and submitted a total of 113 offers.

The object was initially valued at $485,000 before the auction started.but an anonymous collector in the United States managed to acquire it for $340,100.

Grewal announced that the money will be spent on expanding his collection. In addition, it plans to renew its equipment for future auctions.

However, this sale would not be the most expensive in the history of the Apple 1. Until now, that position is held by Bonhams Auctions’ “History of Science and Technology” auction in 2014, where one of these machines was auctioned for $905,000.
