Microsoft: Windows update that fixes security flaws is now available

microsoft announced this Tuesday a total of 55 new patches to correct a series of vulnerabilities that it has detected in its system. These include updates to bugs in Windows MSDT ‘Follina’ and new flaws detected in Intel MMIO.

Of the 55 vulnerabilities fixed in today’s update, three are rated ‘Critical’ and the rest were rated Important, as reported by Bleeping Computer.

12 Elevation of Privilege Vulnerabilities

1 Bypass Vulnerability security features

27 Remote Code Execution Vulnerabilities

11 Information Disclosure Vulnerabilities

This is how you can install security patches:

Although this procedure can be done automatically, sometimes users they want to learn how to do it manually.

For this, you need to go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update (on Windows 10) or you can also do it another way, by going to Start > Settings > Windows Update (on Windows 11).

If the patch is available, it will appear in this section and then you must Follow Microsoft’s instructions to finish the installation.
