WhatsApp: now you can delete messages up to two days after sending them

WhatsApp is working on changing the time limit that users have to delete a message they have sent to other contacts and plans to extend it to 2 days and 12 hours on devices Android.

Currently, the instant messaging application allows users to delete messages within one hour, eight minutes and 16 seconds after sending them using the option ‘Delete for all’.

As verified by WABetaInfo in the new update 2.22.15.8 of WhatsApp, released through the Android Google Play beta program, the company has quintupled this time limit.

Specifically, some WhatsApp beta users have 2 days and 12 hours to delete a messageeither for themselves or for contacts with whom they have interacted.

This portal indicates that, for the time being, the messaging app has made this feature available to some testersso it is unknown when it will reach its entire user base.

It is not the first time that WhatsApp implements a similar measure in relation to the deletion of messages after a certain time, since it has recently carried out a series of changes in its group chats.

Now, group admins will be able to delete a message for all participantswho will also know who has been responsible for deleting it through a notification.
