The company stated that the objective of the update is “create a cohesive set of icons that were bold in shape and style, but still relatable and a bit cheeky when possible.”

Speaking to The Verge, spokesman Shaokyi Amdo noted that the new icons will be available to all web, iOS and Android users in the coming days.
