How is PC Manager, the new official Microsoft app that wants to replace CCleaner

For several years, one of the most used applications for cleaning and security of computers is CCleaner, software that has been active since 2003. However, microsoft he’s got his act together and now he’s working on his own cleaning app with which he wants to deal with it.

CCleaner is one of the most used Windows 11 apps because it removes temporary content, frees up disk space, optimizes the Windows registry, uninstalls apps, manages apps that start with Windows, and much more.

The problem is that Microsoft does not like this software at all, which has sometimes considered its own antivirus (Defender) as malware, since it alters the advanced settings of your operating system.

For that reason, the company has had no better idea than to develop its own native cleaning application, called PC Manager.

This new application will offer basic software maintenance tasks, optimizing the computer through freeing up storage space, checking the applications that run at Windows startup, checking for malware through Microsoft Defender, updates, and much more.

The idea is to have a centralized application in which to keep an eye on all these types of tasks in a more comfortable way. Nevertheless, Everything points to the fact that the vast majority of its functions are already available in Windows, since this application would only be in charge of collecting them in a single place.

At the moment, the app is only available in beta mode. Although it is already possible to download it from this site, the bad news is that for now it is only available in Chinese and English.
