Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer, the smartphone that promises to bring the fastest charge on the market (100% battery in 9 minutes)

Xiaomi has presented his new series smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 12, made up of three devices and a special edition, Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer, a mobile phone with a 4,300 mAh battery that is completed in less than 10 minutes thanks to a fast charge of 210 W.

A few days ago, the brand announced through Weibo that the new series of Redmi Note 12 mobile devices, which it would present on October 27, would be equipped with two new technologies, without going into details about what they would be.

Xiaomi has announced this Thursday at an event that has taken place in China the characteristics of the three new devices in this rangemade up of the standard model, Redmi Note 12, as well as Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+, which has a special edition called Redmi Note 12 Explorer.

This latest smartphone, the most advanced in the series, has identical features to the previous version, Redmi Note 12 Pro+: a 6.67-inch OLED screen, reaches a brightness of 900 nits and offers a contrast of 5,000,000:1.

Likewise, the Explorer version of Xiaomi is compatible with HDR10, HDR10 + and Dolby Vision content and offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz, with a touch sampling of 240 Hz.

The camera configuration of both terminals is also repeated: 200 megapixels (MP) for the main camera, an 8 MP wide angle and a 2 MP macro lens, as well as a 16 MP selfie.

On the other hand, it works with the MediaTek 1080 processor, with a configuration of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In addition, it uses the MIUI 13 customization layer based on Android 12 and WiFi 6 and NFC connectivity.

The difference between Redmi Note 12 Explorer and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is its charging power, which reaches 210W compared to 120W for the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. In this way, its battery, which is reduced to 4,300mAh (that of the 12 Pro + is 5,000mAh), can be charged to 100 percent in less than 10 minutes. Specifically, in nine minutes, according to the company.

Another of the models that make up the new Xiaomi series is Redmi Note 12 Pro, a phone that maintains the dimensions of the 6.67-inch OLED screen, as well as its brightness (up to 900 nits), 120 Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, as well as support for HDR10+ with Dolby Vision.

In the cameras, it does differ from the other two because of the 50 MP main lens, while the configuration of the other three is repeated (8MP wide-angle, 2MP macro, 16MP front).

Its processor is also Mediatek Dimensity 1080 and the RAM configuration is doubled, with 8 or 12 GB, as well as the internal storage (128/256 GB). In addition, it uses MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and features the fingerprint reader integrated into the screen.

Finally, the standard model, Redmi Note 12, has identical screen characteristics: 6.67-inch OLED panel, Full HD+ (1080 x 2400) support, 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling. In addition, it reaches a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits.

As for the main camera, it only has two lenses: a 48 MP main lens and a 2MP depth lens. The selfie camera is also reduced compared to the other models, down to 8MP.

The processor, on the other hand, is a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip from Qualcomm. The RAM supports three configurations (4/6 and 8 GB LPDDR4X) and two the ROM (128 and 256GB UFS2). The battery, for its part, is 5,000mAh, with a fast charge of 33W.
