Dates and full program

After two years of absence linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, Paris Games Week is making a comeback at the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles in Paris. The event celebrating video games will be held from November 2 to 6, 2022, with a (very) busy schedule; reports JeuxVideo.com.

The Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak and the Minister Delegate for the Digital Transition Jean-Noël Barrot will be present for the inauguration on Tuesday. Three industry giants and console manufacturers will attend the show: Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo. A first for more than three years, according to The voice of the North.

A very varied program

Paris Games Week will bring together video game publishers (Ubisoft, Bandai Namco, Sega) but also distributors and social networks, like TikTok. A hundred exhibitors are expected. On the program for this edition: e-sport competitions, dedications, a space dedicated to French games and another dedicated to “retrogaming”, as well as conferences.

Great novelty: a real village dedicated to cosplay will be installed. Workshops as well as parades will be organized throughout the event. The show will also be an opportunity for visitors to test certain games expected for the end of 2022, such as “Just Dance 2023” or “Street Fighter 6”.

180,000 visitors expected

No less than 180,000 visitors are expected by the organizers for this “restart” edition; note The voice of the North. A figure lower than the editions prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, which welcomed 300,000 visitors with a larger and more ambitious format.

However, the objective remains the same: to beat the figures of Gamescom, the equivalent of Paris Games Week in Germany, in order to become the leading European gaming fair. The full program is available on the Paris Games Week website.
