WhatsApp adds a search engine for surveys in the app

WhatsApp has introduced a new filter in the ‘Search’ section in its latest beta for Android, which will allow direct access to the surveys, without necessarily having to search for them in the platform’s conversations.

The company carries months working on this featurewhich initially began testing on iOS and is now available in the latest beta of the application for this operating system developed by Apple.

This option, which allows users to create and share surveys with the rest of the members of a group or with another person in an individual chat, offers the possibility of adding up to twelve different answer options.

Now WABetaInfo has indicated that, in those devices in which the latest beta for Android 2.22.24.19, developed through the Google Play Beta Program, is already downloaded, a tab that gathers all the polls is already integrated.

In this way, the users of these devices they will not be forced to look for one by one each survey in individual or group chats, but can be accessed directly from the ‘search’ section.

Located at the top of the main interface of the application, next to the magnifying glass icon, this section currently has tabs such as ‘Unread’, ‘Photos’, ‘Videos’, ‘Links’, ‘GIF’, ‘Audio’ and ‘Documents’. When one of these options is pressed, the files or documents appear ordered in chronological order and according to whether they were sent or received through WhatsApp.

At the moment, this option is only available to some beta testers, although the company is expanding this tab to more usersas reported by said portal.
