The company MyHeritage allows, through a mechanism of artificial intelligencesee yourself in other times, know your family tree and even take a DNA test to find your ethnic origins.

The mechanism they use to achieve realistic identifications and recreations is the ‘Stable Diffusion’ model, which works as an open source learning model that generates images from text or other images with low resolution.

The machine is called ‘A Time Machine’, but it doesn’t just work by physically having it, because through the MyHeritage website you can access the artificial intelligence mechanisms.

In order to be seen in another era, users must go up between 10 and 20 photos, as requested by the portal, in order to reconstruct the aspects of the people related to the images through them. After uploading the photos, you must wait about two hours and eight recreated images can be downloaded. At first, the platform automatically decides the time to recreate, but then users can decide the scenario in which they want to see themselves reflected.

Birth, marriage and death certificates can also be accessed on the platform. As well as ethnic maps through DNA tests.

Criticism has been seen on social networks for a possible violation of privacy, despite the fact that it is the user himself who decides to upload the images or information. In addition, the organization places special emphasis on the fact that the identity of the people will be fully protected.
