Youtube has updated its TV application, and its most notable change has been the sound of the ‘intro’ that it has incorporated. As well as Netflix has its famous ‘Tudum’, the video platform was not far behind and now it has its own introduction.
This peculiar sound would not come alone, since it is accompanied by a short animation that introduces the name of the application. It is a playback bar that transforms into the YouTube logo.

The platform has explained on its blog that they tried to create a sound that was human in order to convey emotions and reflect the idea of connectivity.
What is clear is that YouTube seeks to position its new introduction in a recognizable characteristic of its platform, just as other streaming services —Netflix, mainly— managed to do so.
