Neuralink, the billionaire company Elon Muskhas just announced that it will begin placing its computer brain implant in human patients within six months.
The company is one of Musk’s most ambitious projects, its initial objective is to create a chip capable of treating patients suffering from disabilities caused by neurological disorders.

According to Bloomberg, Neuralink has been refining its product, which consists of a small device and wires with electrodes, along with a robot that removes a piece of a person’s skull and implants it in the brain. Ongoing talks with the US Food and Drug Administration have gone well enough for the company to target its first human trials within the next six months, Musk said.
“Obviously, we want to be extremely careful and make sure it’s going to work before we put it inside a human.”he said at an event at its Fremont, California, headquarters on Wednesday.
“As miraculous as it may seem, we are confident that full-body functionality can be restored to someone who has a severed spinal cord,” Musk said at the event. As for Neuralink’s vision work, he added that “even if they had never seen before, we’re sure they could see.”he pointed.
