Twitter launches its new font and limits the color blue

You might have noticed if you’ve been taking a Twitter spin since Wednesday. The social network has deployed on its interface a new font, which is specific to it and called “Chirp”. The announcement was made … in a tweet. “Have we changed our font? Yes, we confirm it to you, we did it, ”he wrote on the Twitter account.

However, some Internet users complained about the lack of readability of the new writing.

Less blue

Other changes are also being rolled out. “Today we released some changes to how Twitter looks on the web and on your phone. Although it may seem strange at first, these updates make us more accessible, unique, ”said the little blue bird.

As spotted Numerama, an easter egg has been included. It is possible to embed a Twitter logo in your tweets. You have to type [CHIRPBIRDICON] and a little bird appears. In addition, the historic blue is less present. The button to subscribe to an account has been changed and reversed compared to the old version. Instead of solid blue, a previously tracked person now has a white logo with a black font.
