Apple will launch its new iPad mini at the end of 2023

Manzana is developing a new iPad miniwhich will maintain the design of its previous generation, but will integrate a new processor and will be launched on the market in late 2023 or early 2024, according to Apple ecosystem analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

The American company launched the latest iPad mini model in 2021, which established itself as the most powerful of the iPad minis presented so far. This compact tablet offers a refreshed design from the previous version, with narrow edges and rounded corners. It draws on the power of the A15 Bionic chip, and includes compatibility with the second-generation Apple Pencil and 5G support.

Now, as Kuo has learned, the tech company is developing a new generation of iPad mini. The main novelty will be the change of the processor, since it would integrate a more advanced one. The analyst has not indicated, however, what type of processor the brand will implement in this new model.

In this regard, it should be remembered that Apple is also working on the new M2 processors, based on the 3 nanometer (nm) chips made by its main supplier, TSMC. In fact, this manufacturer has already announced that it would start producing these transistors en masse starting this Thursday, December 29.

On the other hand, Kuo has pointed out that the design of the new iPad mini will be very similar to the current one and has denied that the new generation of iPad mini is a folding iPad scheduled for 2025, as “as predicted by some media”has apostilled.

This gadget is not in the manufacturer’s plans, among other reasons, because the price of the folding iPad should be “significantly higher” than that of the iPad mini, as explained by the analyst. “Such replacement is unreasonable”has sentenced.

Ming-Chi Kuo anticipates the launch of this new iPad mini at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024. For his part, the company led by Tim Cook has not commented on the matter nor has it reported on these developments for the mini version of the iPad.
