Electric cars: what are the advantages of this technology that most manufacturers are betting on?

The electric cars they are fashionable in the world, although in Peru it seems to be a reality that is still distant despite the benefits that little by little are becoming better known, such as care for the environment.

Today in our country there are around five thousand electric cars on the tracks, including hybrids, plug-in hybrids and pure electric. A much lower figure when compared to other countries.

And it is that in the world electric cars are having a greater relevance in the automotive industry, indicated Mario Gonzales, general manager of Luz del Sur, due to the benefits. There are more manufacturers that include this technology in their offer.

One of the main benefits is savings. As detailed by the supply company in a press release, electric vehicles are a great option, since recharging them costs 80% less compared to internal combustion vehicles. In addition, the maintenance cost is 75% lower than conventional ones.

On the other hand, it was also highlighted that electric vehicles are more agile than combustion ones because their engines have a faster, constant response and high dynamism. For example, they can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in a few seconds. Likewise, they generate less noise and vibrations, which produces greater comfort for the driver.

Another important detail that goes hand in hand with saving is that in some cases they take advantage of the kinetic energy produced during braking to partially recharge the batteries.

And care for the environment should also be highlighted, unlike combustion vehicles that have emitted CO2 gases for decades. This helps to take care of the health of many people and the environment. They also generate less noise, which reduces noise pollution.
