Like From Mad Max: This Is The Post-Apocalyptic Sanitary Bus Made In Ukraine

The situation in Ukraine it’s more than complicated. Of that there is no doubt. And in the middle of the war with Russia, some engineers converted a old bus in a state-of-the-art medical vehicle, which belies its fearsome appearance.

As if it were a vehicle taken from the movie Mad Max, or as it has been called “a post-apocalyptic bus”, this unit is clad in a camouflage ‘armor’ that completely covers the entire vehicle.

In addition, it is surrounded by gratings and railings. All painted in a dark green color. He has been referred to as ‘Oleg Gubal’, reported the page El Español Omicrono. All the material has been obtained based on donations from foundations and individuals, mainly from Romania.

But, both the appearance and the material respond to a need: that of caring for patients. A video from user Radu Hossu shows how the vehicle was converted and its features.

It is a five-door bus modified to enable the most basic assistance services inside. It can treat up to 600 wounded or 30 seriously wounded in a single day.

The entire fortified structure allows medics to work more safely in adverse weather conditions, as well as withstand attacks. It also has an emergency room, with the capacity to perform “complex” surgeries and operations.
