The last update of Google Chromehas introduced a new button in the settings side panel that allows you to customize the desktop interface with new themes and wallpapers.

The main page of Google Chrome has a shortcut to a space that offers basic customization options to apply them in classic Chrome with default colors, as well as a button to choose a certain color in the palette.

Now, Google has introduced another section that indicates ‘Change theme’ and that opens a new configuration menu that includes options for interface backgrounds such as urban landscapes, geometric shapes, art, landscapes and textures.

Other categories available in this new options box are Native American Artists, Latino Artists Collection, LGBT+ Artists, Black Artists Collection, and Asian Pacific Islander Artists. However, Google has commented that it will be introducing new collections from other artists throughout this year.

It also allows you to download themes from the Chrome Web Store or upload an image saved locally on the device. In case of choosing some of these collections, you can select the option ‘Update every day’ so that they change every 24 hours.

Once you’ve chosen a theme, you can change the color of the taskbar, as well as choose whether or not to show shortcuts or enable Chrome to suggest shortcuts to frequently visited websites.
