Decadence, the gigantic luxury yacht that looks like a Star Wars ship | PHOTOS

Designs prepare us for the future technology. This is the case of the Decadence, a gigantic luxury yacht that mixes the futuristic visions of movies like Star Wars or Batman, and which has been worked on by the British design studio Andy Waugh.

The proposal is for a catamaran with such a futuristic design that it could well be an intergalactic ship, and that bases the construction of its hull on the SWATH concept, according to the El Español-Omicrono page.

What the designers have done is to minimize the cross section of the boat in order to minimize the volume in contact with the water. The ship’s structure consists of two hulls that are attached to the main one through four bridges, two at the bow and two at the stern.

It is not a simple yacht. Her design has to deal with a displacement weight of 5,000 tons. This is distributed throughout the boat and the main suite of 600 square meters stands out, which can be designed according to the interest of each user.

Another detail is that the crew areas and other technical spaces are located in the outer submerged hulls in order to leave the main hull dedicated exclusively to guests. About its propulsion system, no further details are yet known, but it was noted that energy consumption could be reduced by 30%.
