Youtube it takes it seriously: it doesn’t want users to avoid seeing ads. In this sense, the video platform has introduced a warning that appears if you are trying to use an ad blocker.
As reported on Reddit, YouTube is displaying a notice that reads as follows: “The video player will be blocked after three videos. We have seen that you are using an ad blocker, the video player will remain blocked until you disable it.”
LOOK: Google would have breached its own YouTube ad policies
This warning may only be appearing for some users, so it is not yet a warning for everyone who is using ad blockers. However, it is clear that the company is working on this system.
In this sense, YouTube leaves users with the need to take one of their options: subscribe to YouTube Premium, your pay to watch ad-free video service. Opposite case, they would have to choose to see the ads.
It is worth mentioning that YouTube is one of the platforms that depends on the advertising industry to generate income, therefore, the fact that some use ad blockers is a detrimental matter for the company.
