Quick Share, Samsung’s app to transfer files, can now be used on any PC

samsung has updated Quick Share to include support for file transfer for Windows computers, so that users can transfer documents from their smartphone or tablet to a computer with this operating system, even if it is not a Samsung brand.

Quick Share was presented by the Korean company in 2020 as a solution designed for users to exchange files, images, or videos with other Samsung devices without the need to use cables or a connection.

It is a system similar to Apple’s Airdrop. However, this function was only available to transfer files between the technology company’s own devices.

Now, Samsung has included file transmission compatibility with computers running the Windows operating system, regardless of whether the manufacturer brand is other than Samsung.

This has been indicated by Samsung in the description of the application published in the Microsoft store where, according to details, Quick Share is compatible with Samsung Galaxy Book devices and Windows PCs. Specifically, it is compatible with the Windows 10 operating system, version 2004 (build number 1904) or higher.

In this sense, to use Quick Share with Windows computers, users only have to download the application from the Microsoft store. After that, they will be able to send their files or images from their Samsung smartphones to the PC and vice versa.

However, regarding its use on smartphones, it must be taken into account that Quick Share continues to be exclusive to Samsung phones.
