WhatsApp now allows screen sharing during video calls

Meta has added a new feature for WhatsAppwhich will allow users to share the screen when a video call is in progress, so that its members can view the same content as the other party.

The company has been working on new communication formats for months, among which are video messages, which are used to instantly share moments with image and voice and which can now be used global level.

The platform has also been updated with new features aimed at group chats, which already supports up to 32 participants -that can be joined at any time during the call- and that now they will also be able to see the content of the users’ screen.

This has been announced by the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, through his Instagram channel, where he has said that they are adding the ability to share content that way during video calls.

In this case, users You can view it directly on your mobile phone and with this option it will be reflected at the bottom of the interface who is the person who is sharing the content of your screen.

To start screen sharing, click on the ‘Share’ icon and choose between sharing a specific application or allowing users to view the entire screen.

With this, WhatsApp has announced that, with this option –Available for the Desktop version and for ‘smartphones’– You can use the mobile screen in landscape format. If it is used on a computer, the rest of the group members will be located at the top of the interface. On the contrary, it is on the right side where they are placed when it comes to the version of the mobile application.
