Sony presents its new Alpha 7C R and Alpha 7C II cameras [características y precios]

sony has presented two new models of the Alpha 7C camera series, with the Alpha 7C II versions, which integrates “the latest in video and photography performance”, and Alpha 7C R, which stands out for its 61 MP high-resolution sensor.

The Japanese company has expanded its series of compact Full-Frame cameras with Alpha 7C interchangeable lenseswith two new models designed for users who create content –both in video and photography formats–.

He Alpha 7C model II integrates a Full-frame CMOS Exmor R sensor backlit approx. 33 megapixels effective and uses a BIONZ XR processor to ensure “high resolution and definition” image performance, as detailed by Sony in a press release.

Furthermore, the standard of iso sensitivity of this model ranges from 100 to 51,200 for videos and expands to a range of 50 to 204,800 for photographs.

Within this framework, Sony points out that it is a device designed for capture photos and videos in a “wide variety of scenarios”, from travel to everyday photography, since it allows the capture of high-quality images in a simple way, thanks to the fact that it has “the latest in video and photography performance”.

ALPHA 7C R

Alpha 7C R is equipped with a 61-megapixel Exmor R full-frame CMOS sensor effective and, like the 7C II model, includes the BIONZ XR processing engine. However, the sensitivity ISO ranges from 100 to 32000 for video and from 50 to 102400 for photography.

The Alpha 7C R also integrates the multi capture function with Pixel Shift, that makes it possible to capture multiple images to later synthesize them into a single photograph on the PC. In this way, a high-resolution image is obtained from several photos.

On the other hand, its design add a GP-X2 grip extensionwith which it allows the user shoot “comfortably” by providing a stable hold “even in captures for long periods of time” or with the use of telephoto lenses.

COMPACT DESIGN

Thus, Sony has stressed that both models are designed with the aim of offer easy handling and that they can be easily transported. To do this, they have a compact size with approximately 12.4 cm wide, 7 cm high and 6.4 cm deep. Likewise, its weight is approximately 513 and 515 grams for the 7C II and 7C R model, respectively.

In fact, in the case of the Alpha 7C R model, its weight and size have been reduced compared to the Alpha 7R V version, since it is 29% lighter and has a volume close to 53% less.

Likewise, the new cameras have a Vari-angle touchscreen LCD, with which it offers a very comfortable recording perspective for the user. In addition, it includes a front dial that allows you to assign favorite functions in a personalized way and a XGA “high resolution” viewer.

AUTOFOCUS AND S-CINETONE TECHNOLOGY

Both models are equipped with the same Artificial Intelligence (AI) processing unit. Likewise, with his auto focus technology (AF), the new Alpha 7C R and 7C II can recognize subjects with “high precision”.

So much so that, as Sony assures, even if a person is photographed with a complicated position or their face is hidden, the AF technology can estimate the posture and capture the subject more accurately.

SUSTAINABILITY AND CONNECTIVITY

Technology has valued the recycled materials used in camera bodies, which are made from materials such as SURPRISES –a mix of materials including used plastic bottles and discarded optical discs–.

Sony has detailed that the new Alpha 7C II will be launched on the market in the month of September of this year with an estimated price from 2,400 eurosalthough it will also be sold with the Sony 28-60mm lens for 2,700 euros.

For her part, the Alpha 7C R will be available from October and with a price of around 3,700 euros.
