GoPro has unveiled its new HERO12 Black action camera, offering up to twice the battery life of its predecessor, 5.3K and 4K HDR video recording, and wireless audio compatible with Bluetooth devices.

The new flagship camera of GoPro comes with new functions and features designed to professional users, without this being a barrier for other users, as the technology company has indicated.
This new addition to its catalog uses an improved energy management system with the one offered by up to twice the battery life. According to the technology firm, this translates into 70 minutes of continuous recording in 5.3K60, 95+ minutes at 5.3K30 and 155+ minutes of continuous recording at 1080p30, all with HyperSmooth 6.0 video stabilization enabled.
Supports the 5.3K and 4K video recording and the capture of photos in high dynamic range (HDR). It also has 8x slow motion function with up to 2.7K resolution and allows extracting frames of up to 24.7MP from videos and capture 27MP photos, as reported in a press release.

HERO12 Black features HyperSmooth 6.0 video stabilization with 360° horizon lock when using the Linear digital lens with this feature or at all lens settings when using the MAX 2.0 lens module. This last item expands field of view by 36 percent when shooting wide-angle video and 48 percent when shooting vertically.
He 1/1.9-inch sensor offers versatility with its aspect ratio of 8:7, that can be cropped to 9:16 portrait, 16:9 wide, 4:3 traditional, or 8:7 full frame. It is now available in all video resolutions, in TimeWarp, Time Lapse, Night Lapse and all Night Effects modes.

Alongside the camera, the company has announced two accessories: an extension rod 48-inch mount compatible with HERO12 Black’s new 1/4-20 mounting threads, and a Bluetooth remote control removable and waterproof, compatible with HERO12 Black, HERO11 Black, HERO11 Black Mini and HERO10 Black.
HERO12 Black is available to pre-order this Wednesday at GoPro.com for $399.99, while together with the Max 2.0 Lens Mod lens module it comes to US$479.98. Both products will be available in stores around the world from September 13.
