Elon Musk streamed while driving a Tesla and will not be fined: this is the strange reason

A few days ago, the billionaire Elon Musk tried to demonstrate the efficiency of the Autopilot system in the vehicles of Tesla through a streaming transmission, through his X account (formerly Twitter).

But, beyond the test, many users reported that the billionaire committed a violation during the demonstration: it was Musk himself who recorded while driving through the streets. They requested the intervention of the authorities.

According to a report from the Hybrid and Electric page, the Tesla CEO used his smartphone while the Autopilot system was connected and United States laws prohibit this type of practice.

And it is that autonomous driving does not exempt the driver from complying with the regulations, where it is stated that the use of any mobile phone is not allowed while traveling. This was what some users noticed. However, Musk could be exempt from being sanctioned.

The Palo Alto Police Department had to respond to this situation. Because there was no officer nearby who appreciated the offense, it was not possible to intervene, despite the fact that there is film material of the event.

This would set a precedent in the case of sanctions during autonomous driving. It is understood that one of the characteristics is that a driver is no longer needed, the vehicle moves by itself.
