VIDEO. Fake alien mummies displayed in front of Mexico’s parliament

Supernatural fever reaches Mexico. Less than two months after the U.S. Congressional hearings on UFOs, it was Mexico’s turn to host a conference on the extraterrestrial issue. On this occasion, two pseudo-mummies of aliens were presented before the Mexican Parliament on September 12 by self-proclaimed and controversial specialist, ufologist Jaime Mossan Flato. Two small sarcophagi, open to the public, contain fossils of so-called “creatures from another world.” “These are non-human beings that are not part of our earthly evolution,” the self-proclaimed ufologist said during a session organized by Mexican lawmaker Sergio Gutierrez in the name of “public interest.” Small body, elongated head and hands with only three fingers. Jaime Maussan Flato presents these 1,000-year-old non-human specimens that may have been found in an old mine in Peru.

But these “mummies” aren’t actually anything alien. Jaime Maussan Flato already introduced these pseudo-aliens in the 2017 documentary The Nazca Excavations, available on Amazon Prime. The program recalled the same creatures “discovered” in Nazca in Peru. Subsequent analyzes by anthropologists confirmed that these fossilized “aliens” were in fact only a collection of mummified human remains. “The reception of Jaime Maussan in the Chamber of Deputies shows this country’s disdain for science,” said a Mexican Internet user. Others ridiculed the hearing, demanding that the ufologist become “president of intergalactic relations.”
