Paint is updated: Microsoft includes functions to work with layers and transparencies

Microsoft has updated the application Paintwhich now has layers and support for transparency, which will allow you to create more complex digital images.

Paint users can now create images with layers, to “stack shapes, text, and other image elements on top of each other” and thus embark on “creating richer, more complex digital art.”

This was announced by the Senior Director of Product and Applications for the Windows Inbox, Dave Grochocki, in a post on the Windows Insider blog. Precisely, the Paint news is now available on the Canary and Dev channels.

Working with layers on the Paint canvas also allows users to show, hide, or duplicate layers, as well as merge them. This novelty is also accompanied by support for transparencies and the possibility of opening files in transparent PNG format.
