TikTok has implemented a new tool with which users can identify through tags the content available on the social network that has been created with Artificial intelligence (AI), in order to support “transparent and responsible” content creation practices.

The platform owned by ByteDance keep searching ways to enhance the creativity of creators while offer users an informative context about the content they see on the social network.
Within this framework, as was learned last August, TikTok began working on a tool so that users could point out content generated by AI.
Now, the platform has announced that it has started the launch of a new tool for Help creators tag their AI-generated content. Additionally, they will begin testing ways to automatically tag AI-generated content.
As TikTok explained in a statement on its website, AI offers “incredible creative opportunities,” but it can also confuse or deceive users when creating realistic content if they are not aware that it has been generated or edited with this technology.

Face to solve this problemthe social network has implemented a tool to identify content that has been significantly altered or modified by AI. Specifically, it is a tag that content creators can add to their posts to easily inform your community that this technology has been used.
In this way, the content you use must be tagged Realistic AI-generated images, audio or video to warn users and prevent the possible spread of misleading content. Likewise, as TikTok has recalled, with these labels it is also makes it easier for creators to comply with the synthetic media policy of the platform’s Community Standards.
To enter these tags, creators must activate the tool in settings and when they tag a post, this notification will be displayed in a gray box under user name with the information: “the creator has tagged it as generated by AI.”
However, TikTok has indicated that it will share videos and resources to teach creators how to use these tags “over the coming weeks.”
AI-GENERATED AUTOMATED CONTENT TAGS
On the other hand, the platform has also announced that it will begin testing a algorithm with which it will automatically label publications with content generated by AI.
That is, those videos that are not marked as content generated with this technology will be analyzed by the social network and, if the use of content generated by AI is identified, a “generated by AI” label will be implemented.
Following this line, all TikTok effects that use AI will explicitly include it in the effect name. Also I know Effect House guidelines will be updated –the platform for designing and developing effects on TikTok– for effect creators to also include “AI” in their names.
