The most searched word on Bing would be “Google”, according to … Google

Would the various search engines available on the Internet only serve to access Google? This is what the American firm says, in particular to respond to the accusations of unfair competition it faces.

Alfonso Lamadrid, an attorney for Alphabet (the parent company of Google), recently said that the most searched word on Bing was “Google”. Microsoft’s search engine would therefore only serve to reach its competitor, market leader from the very beginning, reports Bloomberg relayed by 01net.

Who is looking for who?

Google wants to convince the European authorities that it does not practice any unfair competition. The EU accuses the company of using Android in particular to increase the market share of its search engine. Google has already been sanctioned and forced to offer other search engine options on Android.

The American giant is currently seeking to have these sanctions canceled. According to Alphabet’s lawyer, the figures concerning searches on Bing have been sent to European justice in order to prove that it is the users who come to Google, and not the other way around.

Alfonso Lamadrid’s statement should also be viewed with caution, notes 01net. According to other statistical sites, the most searched word on Bing is not “Google” but “Facebook” or “YouTube”. Only Microsoft has the correct answer to this question. What is certain, concludes the tech media, is that “Google” is in the top 3 of searches.
